Toutefois, les actions susceptibles de soutenir l’inflation, comme la recherche de hausses salariales pour compenser l’inflation, se font plus rares. Les effets négatifs des taux d’intérêt élevés s’accentuent, et les indicateurs des tensions financières des ménages se détériorent. Les consommateurs restent incertains quant aux perspectives économiques, et cette incertitude pèse sur leurs projets de dépenses. Les travailleurs pensent que le marché du travail a faibli légèrement.
