La plupart des répondants continuent de penser que des facteurs nationaux contribuent à la forte inflation. La confiance des consommateurs est aussi modérée qu’au dernier trimestre, la forte inflation et les taux d’intérêt élevés pesant encore sur le budget des ménages. Les tensions financières perçues restent élevées, la majorité des répondants continuent d’indiquer qu’ils réduisent leurs dépenses, et le pessimisme persiste quant aux conditions économiques à venir. La perception du marché du travail qu’ont les consommateurs s’est détériorée ce trimestre, surtout chez les employés du secteur privé.
